Located on one of the highest points of the historic center of Montalcino and adjacent to the 14th Century Fortress, apartment La Rocca occupies the upper floor of a very recently (April 2001) restored medieval stone residence.  The apartment's spacious and very usuable balcony provides magnificent views of the village and the landscape beyond.   All modern comforts have been included and the traditional and original features of the building have been retained where-ever possible.

This prime located residence is well placed for parking and access;  it is just a few paces from the village center with its restaurants, bars, variety of shops and points of interest and, in fact, the owner's very own enoteca (wine shop) occupies the ground floor of the building!    Montalcino is of course, the home of the Brunello vineyards and is the ideal base should you decide to visit the regional city of Siena and other nearby Tuscan villages such as Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni, Montepulciano etc.

For those who prefer to make use of public transport, Montalcino is also well serviced by a regular bus transfer to and from Siena from where you can connect with additional bus routes to nearby villages, or if you prefer to travel further, services are also available to Florence, Arezzo and Perugia.
